Happy Mother's Day!

 We had a wonderful day visiting our moms today.

Friday Funnies

Caroline says, "me need to go to bed mom.  Me yawning, yawning, yawning!"

Charlotte says to me, "can you check this to see if I did quality work."

Caroline was looking at herself in my full length mirror and says, "see mom, I beautiful!"  YES you are!

Caroline was cutting up a drawing into pieces and I asked why she was cutting up the picture.  She replies, "I just cutting his legs, I be easy!"

I told Caroline that I needed to go back to Lowe's and this is how the conversation went:
Caroline: why?
Me: because I need to return some things I bought for daddy
Caroline: why?
Me:  because I bought the wrong stuff
Caroline: why, cause you're going crazy?!
Why yes Caroline I am!

Charlotte was getting on the bus and Caroline yells to the bus driver, "I'm dressed today!"  Ha ha, most mornings she's in her pajamas!!

Volunteering

It's teacher appreciation week and today they had a lunch get together.  I signed up to volunteer for recess duty and Charlotte was pretty excited about that!

The highlight of recess time was receiving flowers (aka dandelions) from Charlotte's friends, Bennett and Gary!

And I love hearing good things when talking to her teacher.  They did sight words this morning and Charlotte "ripped right through them!"

Charlotte has been begging me for the pool so I compromised and got out the sprinkler!

My mom took the girls to the circus today and they came home with these cool swords!

Charlotte said her favorite part was the hula hoops and Caroline said cotton candy!!

Friday Funnies

We're eating dinner and Caroline bangs her plate with her fork and says, "attention please!"

Pat spilled a little bit of milk at dinner time and Caroline says, "oh bugger!"

I asked Charlotte if she wanted to try the veggie pirates booty and she replied, "No thanks, I'm allergic to green stuff!"

I yelled "dinner" to Pat in the barn and the chickens came a running!

I was painting Caroline's toenails and asked if she bites her toenails.  Without hesitation she says, "Charlotte did it."  She blames everything on her big sister!

I walk in and see this!  I ask, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"  Caroline replies, "I can't find Charlotte's princess books!"

I go get my camera and she tells me that she doesn't want her picture taken so she hides behind the rocking chair!!

And a sweet moment between sisters:  

Caroline is getting ready for bed and Charlotte comes in wanting a hug.  Caroline gives her a hug and says, "we best friends."  I hope so forever and always.

Vocabulary Hat Day

Charlotte had to choose a word from her vocab list and make a hat showing what the word means.  She chose the word SORTING.

She chose to sort pom poms by color.
