Future Runner??

Charlotte took her running very serious this morning.  She said she needed sneakers and a headband and this is what ensued...
"On your mark, set, go!"

Swing those arms, lol!
She said she had to stretch!

Look at those strides!
Catching her breath!
She sure does come up with some funny stuff!!

Nature Color Hunt

Charlotte and I went on a walk this afternoon looking for natural materials that corresponded to the colors she painted in an egg carton.  This was a fun activity for her because she loves to take a walk in the woods behind our house.
Painting
She wanted to paint all the egg carton cups so we incorporated magenta and turquoise!
First find

She even found a black rock.
She didn't find anything magenta in color, but she did a great job with all the other colors.

Recycled Marble Run

I thought a marble run would be fun to do with Charlotte since she loves playing with marbles.  It was a lot harder than I thought it would be!
An hour later and MANY configurations, this was the final result that worked the best.
Charlotte used painters tape to "design" the cardboard tubes.  The tape helps the tube stay firm.
I cut some of the tubes in half and we taped them to a piece of plywood that was lying around.
Watching with anticipation as the marble travels through the course.
Success!  We were very excited when it finally worked and the marble didn't go flying off track!

Happy Mother's Day

A perfect quote on this Mother's Day from the mouth of a 4 year old, "I'm going to lay down and rest.  I feel lazy today!"

I'm very blessed to be their mom!

Spring Nature Collage

Charlotte collected items from the yard and pressed them on contact paper to make her spring collage.
I love the colors of spring!

She sure does love picking dandelions!
