Tuesday June 27th, before we docked in Juneau Caroline did a painting class.
On our balcony about to dock in Juneau
We had high hopes for today as we had planned a helicopter glacier dog sledding excursion, but knew that it was the most canceled excursion in Alaska. The helicopters won't fly in fog, rain, wind, low clouds and this is Alaska so yeah...The weather was warm and sunny in Juneau when we docked, but very foggy up on the glaciers so unfortunately it was canceled 😞 Instead, we did some shopping and took a bus to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center and hiked to Nugget Falls, which was cool.
Mendenhall Glacier
We're dressed for on top of a glacier so we were a bit warm!
Back on the ship. A lot of daylight in Alaska in June, sunset around 10pm and sunrise around 3am
