Beautiful Snowflake
Make an X, add another line bisecting the X, and add two small pieces of tape on each end of the snowflake.
Charlotte painted the entire area using light blue, dark blue, and purple paint
She likes to keep dipping the paintbrush
Needs to dry completely before removing the duct tape.

Today's Playgroup Cancelled :(
We went to playgroup this morning only to find out it was cancelled due to heat problems. Charlotte was very disappointed. She kept pointing to the door as we were leaving and cried when I put her back in her car seat and most of the way home. She really wanted to play with her friends!
In an effort to make the day brighter, we made a handprint sunshine complete with a smiley face!

Movin' On Up!
Charlotte has graduated to the booster seat. I took it as a cue that she was ready when it was time to eat and she would climb into one of the big chairs and would have a fit when I tried to put her in the highchair! I have to say that the Fisher Price Space Saver is a great product. All I did was remove the upper back and the tray.

Brr...It's Chilly!
Since Charlotte loves to paint, I thought ice cubes would provide a different sensory experience and it certainly did!

You've Got Mail!

All ready to mail!

Mailbox
Charlotte loves to get the mail and put mail in the big blue mailbox at the post office so I made her a mailbox. I covered a rectangular box with blue paper and cut out a slot big enough for the envelopes. She loved it! She kept wanting more and more envelopes.
Snow Ice Cream
To make snow ice cream, you need a large bowl of clean snow, 1/2 cup of sugar, 2 tsp of vanilla, and 1 cup of heavy cream
Yum! It tastes like vanilla ice cream just different texture
Getting every last drop!

Go Patriots!
The Patriots play the Jets Sunday in a playoff game so I thought it would be fun to make a football!
First, I used a brown paper bag to cut out two footballs.
Then, Charlotte colored the footballs brown while I cut out 2 thick stripes, 1 thick line, and 5 short rectangles out of white paper. These are the laces and bands on the ball. I helped her glue these on.
Next, she crumbled newspaper while I stapled the football halfway. We stuffed the football and I finished stapling.
She was very proud of the finished product!

We Built A Fort!
Since there were blizzard like conditions outside, we decided to stay warm and cozy inside the fort we built in our living room. We spent most of our morning playing under our fort. We read lots of books, played peek a boo, and flashlight play. Charlotte thought it was pretty funny when she made the fort collapse on Mommy!

Finger Painting
This was Charlotte's first time finger painting. I love her new Melissa & Doug easel.
Let the fun begin!
She didn't want to wear a smock. Good thing for washable paint.
Beautiful masterpiece

Happy New Year!
Spent the last night of 2010 with two of my favorite people. Dinner, bath, and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Being a parent is the best! Charlotte has brought us so much joy this past year and we are looking forward to what 2011 brings us!
