Hives

Don't know how or why, but Charlotte came down with hives Sunday night.  They come, spread quickly, and then go.  Never seen anything like it.  But she's still her happy normal self!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family and a nice relaxing weekend at home.  Charlotte and I made pumpkin bread, apple pie, listened and danced to christmas music, stayed in our pajamas, and packed away toys to make room for new ones!

20 Months Old!

Hands and Feet Turkey

I traced Charlotte's hands to make the feathers and feet (with shoes on) to make the body.  Then I helped her glue the body parts on paper.  Cute, easy, and mess free!  Also, a great tradition that shows how much she grows each year!

How Tall Is Charlotte?

30 inches tall.  Short and Sweet!
Pat cut out the wood and I used my scrapbooking supplies to make this height chart for Charlotte.

Autumn Sensory Bin

Charlotte loved this!  I filled it with popcorn kernels, acorns, leaves, wooden spoons, and a cup.

Mashed Potatoes!

I seldom make mashed potatoes, but tonight I thought I would give them a try.  I might not try again for a while!!  After I finished beating them with the mixer, I went to hit the eject button but accidentally hit the power.  Potato went flying and a glob stuck to the side of Charlotte's face!  I found it to be very funny, Charlotte not so much!  I didn't think it was possible to screw up simple mashed potatoes, but I managed to do so.  They came out very doughy.  How does that even happen?!  We found it quite funny when Pat turned the bowl upside down and nothing moved!  We ate them anyway and so did Charlotte.  I was cleaning up after dinner and the next thing I knew Charlotte's face was completely covered in potatoes.  Apparently since Charlotte's hands were covered in potatoes, Pat thought it would be funny to get her to play peekaboo with hands over eyes!
Never a dull moment!!

Fine Motor Skills

Charlotte worked on her fine motor skills this morning by inserting toothpicks into the holes of a large spice container.  She was very excited every time she heard one drop in and when she was done she got up, gave the container to me, and walked away, like this was easy!  So, I gave her clothespins to put on the container's rim but she just dropped them in.  She didn't get that you need to squeeze the ends of the clothespin.  She was more interested in putting the top back on the container, which she mastered very well!

Jury Duty

Pat started jury duty today.  He had to sit in a courtroom for 7 hours.  Boy, he did not like that!  haha!!
