Tending the Garden

Our vegetable garden is flourishing this year with tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans and cucumbers. Charlotte loves to pick the cherry tomatoes so I've been teaching her to only pick the red ones. She gets excited when she picks one and of course she loves to eat it whole!

Sixteen Months Old!

She is very proud when she pulls up to stand in the bathtub (probably because she knows she shouldn't!) Today she was able to go from sitting to standing on her own.
Our once very cautious little girl is becoming more daring, for example, trying to go head first in the tub or standing up on the registers to see out the window!

We visited Daddy at his work site and had lunch. After lunch, Daddy gave us a tour of the gorgeous old house. We then headed down the street to the Kennebunk Dog Park where Morgan played, wandered and sniffed! We then went back to Grammy and Grandpa's before heading home.

Calm Before The Storm

Charlotte enjoyed walking through puddles before a MAJOR thunderstorm last night. We didn't have any damage, but we lost power for a couple hours.

Growing Girl

This is the only way Charlotte will eat yogurt! Yep, she's a picky eater, but loves eating blueberries, cheese and pasta.

Stats from her 15 month wellness visit yesterday:
Weight - 22lbs 12oz
Height - 30 inches

Her vocabulary consists of mama, dada, hi, and a lot of jibber jabber that I don't understand! She understands pretty much everything you say. If you ask her to do something, she will do it correctly. She knows ears, eyes, mouth, nose, and belly button. She is tons of fun and makes us laugh everyday.

Lovin' Summer

Charlotte's first boat ride

Loved the doggie (even her kisses!)
Summer sure has been great! We've spent many days swimming in our pool, going to the beach, visiting Long Pond, and today we went to a friend's camp on Ossipee Lake in Waterboro. We had a great afternoon on the boat and in the water.

Ossipee Valley Fair

We saw cows, sheep, goats and even a 3000 lb horse named Zeus! We also enjoyed the parade before heading home.

Hot, Hot, Hot!

We are in the midst of a heat wave, but I'm not complaining. Savannah, Charlotte and I spent the day at Ogunquit Beach. Charlotte played with her toys while Savannah spent every minute in the water.

Busy, busy, busy...

We had a very busy, but fun holiday weekend. Saturday we went to our friend's pig roast. Charlotte enjoyed the pool, of course. Sunday morning Pat and I went wild blueberry picking while Charlotte stayed at Grammy's. Then later that day, we all went to our friends (Jason and Emily) family camp on the lake. This was Charlotte's first time in a lake and she liked the water, but not the sand on her feet. And today, we went to Sanford's 4th of July parade and then had a cookout at my sister's. Here are a few pictures from today:Waiting for the parade to startEnjoying the paradeEnjoying the pool on a very hot and humid day

Happy 4th of July

Charlotte is enjoying a strawberry popsicle on a very hot day. I made fruit popsicles from hand picked strawberries and blueberries. I put them in the blender with some plain yogurt and a couple squirts of honey. Healthy and Yummy!

Strawberry Picking

We went strawberry picking this morning at Doles Orchard and we had a special helper. I am babysitting our neighbor Savannah today and all next week. Charlotte didn't pick, but she certainly ate!

Loves The Sandbox

Only tried to eat it once!Charlotte loved playing in the sandbox Daddy made for her. She sat content and happy for 40 minutes, which is a long time for one busy toddler!
